In memory of my departed

Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. Let them find rest from their labours, for their good works accompany them.
Revelation 14:13

Receive, O Lord,
the souls of your departed servants,
and keep them in your care.

As I pray for those who have died,
I ask you to bring my departed
and my departed loved ones
into your presence.

Forgive them their sins,
Reward them for the good they have done,
Hold them in your love.

I ask you to bless my memory
as I remember those I have loved,
Inspire me to recognise your goodness,
to give you thanks
and to live in the hope of one day
rejoicing with my departed in your presence.
I ask this through Christ our Lord.
