A prayer for several deceased

With the Lord there is mercy and fulness of redemption.
Psalm 129 (130)

I remember, Lord, and pray for for all the faithful departed.
I give thanks to you
for the goodness shown in their lives.

Forgive their failings
and welcome them
into your heavenly home.

Together with with Christ,
who died to bring them eternal life,
may they rejoice in your kingdom,
where all our tears will be wiped away.

As I recall the blessings of their lives,
may I live in the hope
of rejoicing in their company
with you and with all the saints in heaven.
